Load shedding. A very common thing in Pakistan. We all are very much annoyed by it. The reasons are simple: it's SUMMER, its freaking hot out there, we can not study, Hello? we have our exams here, it's just not good. There should be no load shedding in Pakistan because: you know the reasons.
Whenever light goes off, the first words uttered by us are, well you know, some "beautiful" words for the WAPDA officials. Coming to the real issue. We all know that load shedding is consistent problem in Pakistan and it's going take years to solve it. Going sad about it, cursing the WAPDA, cursing the government won't solve the problem. I personally have seen many teenagers who have used load shedding as an "regular" excuse on how they were not able to complete their homework, carry out there assignments. The excuse is very valid but to a limit.
If government cannot provide us with electricity, why don't we create our own. I know the idea seems really ridiculous but believe me it's not. We are habitually sitting in our homes depending upon our parents and especially the government to solve our problems. We always blame others for the consequences we face, the problems we face. Let me give you a little example. You are pretty good in class always getting high grades but on a particular test you fail. What would your reaction be? You would start blaming load shedding as it was the cause you couldn't prepare the test, you'll start blaming the teacher that she is definitely after you and didn't teach you well. What you should've really done was to look out for your mistakes. Locate them, find your mistakes that cause you to failed, but you won't do that because you think you are perfect.
I'm not saying go out and build something that can provide electricity to whole Pakistan. I'm just saying that you were given a brain and that brain was given to you so you could use it. Sort out your problems. Just search the internet for possible solutions, build a theory, a model to prove your point. At least DO something rather than blaming others for it. Come on it's your country, it's your responsibility.
Recently I saw a picture on facebook which looked something like this, and I would say its really sad on how our youth is planning their future.
Now its up to you to decide. Whether to depend on this unstable government or come out with your own solution. I'll soon be posting an article on how some people from Pakistan and other countries came up with their own effective solutions to the problem of electricity and believe you'll be amazed as well as inspired. So what do say, step up for a change?
