True Muslims or just a hoax?

Are we really Muslims? Are we Muslims by choice or by birth? Whatever the case we are Muslims and we believe in one Allah and His last messenger Holy Prophet (S.A.W), but is it the belief that makes us a perfect Muslim of today, of course it is the beleif that differentiates us from other people but do our actions speak for us. Is it just a hoax? Are we Muslims just by our name and to adopt to this so called modern society are we obliged to change our customs and the teachings of the Quran?

By this time you might probably be thinking this guy has gone nuts, there's nothing wrong with us, we are perfectly fine, good Muslims but unfortunately we are not. Islam is a complete religion and we are blessed with its benefits. The Qur'an was sent to us as a guide, the Divine revelation covering all aspects of life. Now coming straight to my topic I would like to take in account the actions of our new generation (including me). By the time we opened our eyes in this world we were told that there is one God and that is Allah, we were told that Hazrat Muhammad S.A.W is His last messenger. By the time we grew up we were prohibited from doing bad acts, we were told the difference between the right path and the wrong path, we learned to differentiate between good and evil so in future, we, as Muslims may choose the right path (as our parents wished for). But as we grew and by the time we reached our teens, we were confronted by technology, computers, internet, school, books and friends and those things which were told to us when we were infants come to test, our faith comes to test.

1.I'll start with the internet. Nowadays internet is in every home, students consider it their "need" for study but is it really used for that purpose. Intentionally or "Unintentionally" (Adverts, pop ups e.t.c) we come across something that is rather hard to ignore and is considered REALLY BAD in Muslim society "Porn". When most of the children come across this thing they find it hard to stop themselves, their curiosity forces them to ponder over it and when after the whole "show" we as Muslims feel a little awkward, maybe that is guilt, it build inside us, we realize that Allah sees everything and we done something really wrong and therefore we ask for his forgiveness. Later on we pledge not do it again and feel a little relaxed but the truth is that we are caught in a cycle, whenever we get alone we watch PORN and again ask for His forgiveness and after some months that forgiveness that we seek merely becomes a ritual to relax ourselves. We think that He is Most Oft-Forgiving and usually quote these words "O Allah I am sorry please forgive me ! I wont do it next time again", here comes the question of belief, a single belief is merely nothing, you have to strengthen it and how might you do that? Its simple: Recitation of Holy Qur'an and regular prayer. :)

2.Secondly I'll to the students themselves. Every day we go to school and in school in Isl period we learn about Islam and at some point we feel ashamed, we feel like okay I'm gonna try my best to be a best Muslim from now on and for how long does that "Pledge" of yours last? Till the recess, when you gather with your friend and start talking rubbish, you start making fun of teachers, you start backbiting, you start abusing, you start cheating and mostly go on with the "Penis" jokes. You just forget the meaning of school and the purpose you were sent there for. You become lost and unconsciously lose your identity as Muslim because my friend Muslims don't do these type of things.

3. Last of all I'll come to modernization, being ,modern doesn't mean adopting of ways which are in contradiction with beliefs. I'm not saying run away from technology or just run away from mobiles, I'm just saying stick to your FAITH. If you are Muslim Be a Muslim.

Sorry guys I'm short of time so I'll end up here by saying that do we only predict to be Muslims and the only "Muslim" thing about is our name. We should change with  time but that doesn't mean changing of religion, that doesn't mean to bring about a change in the religion itself to make your lives easier. Today Islam is being criticized all over the world and its up to us to save its name by our actions. We are the future, we have to prove that Islam isn't the religion of Terrorism, Extremism, Barbarism, it's a religion of peace and prosperity.

Pakistan Loss over India... Should Misbah Be replaced as a Captain ?

Yes I know it is rather disappointing for all the Pakistani Fans to see Pakistan loose against India... because no matter what you do you got to win against India. The same thing goes for the Indian fans. Both nations had their rivalry from the start, first it was on the war ground and now it was on the play ground. Pakistan vs India is an absolute thriller... But this article is specially for Pakistani fans. Now coming straight to the topic, I think Pakistan performed fabulous in the ground putting up a score of 329, a tough target for any team and although we have a strong bowling attack, we lost. Now, I know its disappointing and other depressing stuff but when I turn on the news channel and I see messages on the bottom by our "People" whining about our loss, according to their views Misbah should be removed from captaincy and be replaced by Shahid Afridi. I mean seriously should this be the case? . Misbah has proven himself as a captain. He made wise decisions today, first, choosing to bat first as we all know that Pakistan is rather bad at chasing targets, and the other, changing up the batting order according to the situation i.e bringing up Umer Akmal and Shahid Afridi up the batting order and coming at last in the batting order. Now the problem with us is that we cannot see our team loose, well nobody "wants" their team to loose but other countries don't go on changing captain every day. Their people have their trust on their captains and that is why other teams are more stable and are giving results on long term basis. Now, off all the captains Misbah has proven to be the best captain as he is calm, experienced,  knows how to utilize his available resources, and plays according to the situation. I'm not being pro-Misbah but I'm being a little realistic. Just to elaborate my point I would like to give an example:
1. Pakistan wins a Series again Sri Lanka :            Misbah is an excellent captain
2. Pakistan wins against West Indies:                     Misbah great captaincy, well played
3. Pakistan white washes England in tests:             Oh My God ! Where Was Misbah before!?
4. England white washes Pakistan in ODI:             Not good captaincy
5.England defeats Pakistan in T20:                        Misbah Should be removed from Captaincy, Mr TUKTUK
(this one I'm predicting)
6. Pakistan wins Asia Cup:                                    Way to go Misbah

So see how our view change according to every match result. Our faith  in the captain and in the team is not firm, we are variable in our emotions, what we need is to build our faith in our team and captain and hope for the best. Now its been weeks in my school bus I see many students blaming Misbah for the loss over a match and how he played slowly and that Afridi should be made the captain. I'm not being anti-Afridi. Now after hearing their arguments I jump into the discussion:

Student: Misbah is so bad! We lost our Semi-Final because of him now Afridi should be the captain.

My response: Well in the semi-Final Afridi WAS the captain and it was Afridi who played a reckless shot of the last ball of the over just before the powerplay and it was Misbah who stood on the crease till the end.

Student:Well, Misbah is slow and we loose a lot of matches because of him..

My response: Just because he is slow doesn't mean  that he should be replaced and you cannot blame him for any kind of loss. You are being just bias and you have to take in account the other performances that is Umer Akmal is not performing well. Hafeez was unable to provide a strong start.

Student: Whatever! Afridi should be made captain.

My response : And why is that so ? Misbah has a great average, we have won a lot of matches under him, where as Afridi's average has gone down and he hasn't performed, well, at least no in his previous matches, so, Misbah just deserves to be the captain. You don't have any choice, you know you can't go on changing captains everyday.

Student: (silence)

Once Again I'm not being anti-Afridi just being a little realistic and What I am trying to say is that we should have total confidence over our team and captain and should not go on changing captain after every match. If our thoughts are that much variable we cannot  hope to progress in near future and our cricket team would be trapped in an unstoppable cycle of misconduct and mismanagement therefore we should believe in our captain and team ! Way to go Pakistan ! Best of  Luck for the final of Asia Cup :)
